The Morse Model 90 Verti-Karrier® is a mechanical below-hook drum lifter designed for upright, rimmed 55-gallon / 210-litre steel drums.

With a rated capacity of 1,000 lb / 454 kg, it allows drums to be lifted and moved using a suitable crane or hoist while keeping the drum upright.

Its automatic grip-and-release mechanism engages beneath the upper drum rim and remains secure until the drum is fully lowered

Automatic Grip and Release

The Model 90 is lowered onto the drum using an overhead hoist.

As the lifter is raised, the gripping shoes automatically engage beneath the upper rim and securely hold the drum.

The grip remains engaged while the drum is suspended and releases only after the drum has been completely lowered and supported.

This makes the system suitable for repetitive lifting and hard-to-reach drum locations.

The drum top or lid must be properly fitted and securely closed before lifting.
